IRVINE, California (November 25, 2024) – In pursuit of global technological and clinical excellence, Aurora Technology and Healthcare Global Holding Corp, manufacturer of the Aurora® 1.5Tesla Dedicated Breast MRI System and global healthcare provider, today announced that a world-renowned healthcare leader is added to its Senior Advisory Board – Mr. James Roosevelt Jr.
James Roosevelt, Jr. is a prominent healthcare executive. He is also a clinical instructor at the Tufts University School of Medicine, Public Health and Community Medicine. In 2008, he was appointed to then-President-elect Barack Obama’s Social Security Administration transition team. Before his time as CEO at Tufts Health Plan for more than 10 years, Roosevelt served under former President Bill Clinton as the Associate Commissioner for the Office of Retirement Policy within the Social Security Administration.
He co-chairs the Rules and Bylaws Committee of the Democratic National Committee and is volunteer legal counsel for the Massachusetts Democratic Party. He is a trustee of the Cambridge Public Library and the Cambridge Community Foundation. He has co-chaired Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo's Healthcare Leaders Task Force on Health Care Cost Growth, and he co-chaired the Massachusetts Hospital Association's work group on access to behavioral health care. Jim is a trustee of the Cambridge Public Library, the Cambridge Community Foundation and the Atrius Health Equity Foundation.
As the grandson of President Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, he speaks with a personal perspective and passion about the importance of Social Security, as well as the broader concept of social insurance and healthcare.

Roosevelt received a J.D. from Harvard Law School and his A.B. in government from Harvard College. He also completed the Advance Management Program at Harvard Business School. He became a member of NASI in 2010.
