SpiralRODEO™’s improved acquisition efficiency (three times greater than traditional 3-D Fourier Transform reconstruction) allows simultaneous acquisition of data for high temporal and high spatial resolution, with acquisition and reconstruction matrix specifications unmatched in breast MRI:

  • 3-D Image Acquisition Matrix 360x360x128
  • 3-D Image Reconstruction Matrix 512x512x160 slices
  • 1.1mm slice thickness; No Gap
  • SpiralRODEO acquires a true 3-D volume, offering isotropic resolution near 1 mm resolution in all three planes
  • Less than 3 minutes per scan (15 minutes total scan times)*
  • Post-contrast time points obtained at 90-second, 4.5-minute, 7.5-minute and 10.5-minute intervals

As a result, the Aurora 1.5T Dedicated Breast MRI System offers signal improvement comparable to that of a 4.5T** system

* a patient specific shim, fine tuning the magnet to the composition of the patient, may add a minute or two to overall scan time

** When SpiralRODEO is implemented on the Aurora® 1.5T Dedicated Breast MRI, it results in a signal to noise ratio (SNR) improvement approximately three times greater than the previous 3DFT method. In field strength terms, this is similar to going from 1.5T to more than 4.5T.
