(June 12, 2007) – Aurora Imaging Technology, Inc., today announced the formal launch of the Aurora Breast MRI Reimbursement Hotline. Aurora is offering this service to further support its customers, both existing and future, through delivery of expert reimbursement support. An example of key services offered through the Hotline include third-party payor coverage and reimbursement overviews, new account billing assistance, locale specific billing insights, and answers to questions on breast imaging reimbursement issues, with a goal of facilitating accurate billing to Medicare and private payors for breast MRI procedures. “For many practices today, barriers to payment are sometimes a result of a lack of accurate billing tools,” said Olivia Ho Cheng, president and chief executive officer, Aurora. “When practices do not have access to appropriate coding and coverage guidelines, they don't have the correct tools to report procedures, resulting in potential reimbursement issues.
