Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) and Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS)

Description: 71-year old female presented for routine screening mammogram

Protocol:


	1		Screening mammogram was performed which showed an asymmetric lesion measuring 20mm and calcifications on the right breast. Left breast was negative.

Mammogram:

	2		Subsequently, additional spot compression views, magnification views, and an ultrasound were done on the right breast.

Ultrasound:

	3		MRI was recommended prior to a biopsy being done.


	4		Bilateral MRI was performed which showed extensive ductal enhancement with enlarged lymph nodes.

	5		Ultrasound guided biopsy was done

	The Aurora Breast MRI System helped identify Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) and Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS)
